Episode notes
They Did It Because They Could - The Truth About the Washington National Guard
Grab your coffee — this one's important.
Season 3 of Military Illumination is here, and Gary is finally telling the full story he's been sitting on for nearly 25 years.
It starts with a friend. A soldier in the Washington Army National Guard who was targeted, railroaded through a trial without proper legal representation, and hung out to dry — by nine officers who did it simply because they could.
This episode lays the foundation: the climate inside the Guard in 1998, the people responsible, and why Gary is done staying quiet about it.
If you're thinking about enlisting, already in, or just want the truth the military doesn't advertise — pull up a chair.
