Last Nerds On Earth: The Five Crystals - Ep. 24 - Curiosity Killed the Halfling

Last time on The Five Crystals the quintessential crew found themselves facing down four deadly sets of armor. Each enchanted with extreme strength and resiliency. What’s more is the floor before them kept trying to move its way out from under them. With a little luck, teamwork and a keen eye they managed to disable the trap and dismantle the armor. From there they pressed onward to the second floor. With a lot more luck they may in fact make it out alive…with a LOT more luck. Last Nerds On Earth: The Five Crystals - Ep. 22 - Potatoes are always the solution

Aligrax, Carley, Oliver, Rain and their new friend Turolo have bested the hordes outside and made their way down into the depths. On their trip down into the pit Turolo discovered some ancient Dwarven ruins. Upon translating them the group learned that it speaks of the history and origin of the swamp. Later in the story the carvings mention the Black Dragon and warn against giving the crown to it. Upon trying to enter the lair they found a door that was twice trapped, first with fire and then with darts. Surprisingly the only one that didn’t get hit by this was the one triggering them all, Rain. They rounded out the episode by setting off an alarm that unleashed more of the zombies onto them. Standing over a pile of zombie corpses they must push their way into the dungeon to find out exactly where and what they’re after. Last Nerds On Earth: The Five Crystals - Ep. 21 - The First Turn

After quite the odd journey through a swamp ever increasing in absurdity our intrepid heroes came to a large clearing. In the middle of it was a black obelisk that, strangely, was an exact match based on a description they had received earlier. Unfortunately, as it is with most secret lairs of diabolical monsters, this obelisk was guarded. It was guarded by a horde of zombies of every shape and size. While the four adventurers where trying to figure out the best plan to make their way through the swarm they were set upon by three of the very foes they were trying to defeat. As the zombies rushed the four stood froze when suddenly the heads of their attackers popped off! Standing over the now very dead corpses was a half-elf warrior. Turolo has entered the game. With their new best friend and after a few introductions the party made short work of the enemy horde. Now they press into the obelisks door in a bid to find the creature causing such woe on the road. Last Nerds On Earth: The Five Crystals -Ep. 20 - The Undead Field

Previously on The Five Crystals, our heroes had their first interaction with an undead foe. Three of them actually. Whilst trying to sneak around them Aligrax fell face first into swamp water. Alerted to our heroes presence the three zombies rushed at them. The ranger, Rain and rogue, Oliver made quick work slicing and dicing the trio into mincemeat. Pressing onward they came across a Shambling Mound. Aligrax let loose an intimidating roar and scared it off surprisingly. Afterward they moved quickly away from the mounds territory knowing full well how strong the monster is. What they run into next caused them to wish they had stuck around the mound. An ancient Black Dragon appeared before them. Frightened to say the least the group made a short introduction and managed to avoid being eaten alive…for now. The dragons name was Voaraghamanthar and he tasked them with finding a crown. After making a hasty exit they bedded down for the night knowing that their goal is close. We rejoin them that same night and following morning to unlock more secrets of the swamp. *Editors note: We would like to thank Venice, the DM, from Fates Grip (@FatesGrip on Twitter) for joining us starting this episode! He stays with us for quite awhile (against his will) and we were super excited to play with him!
