Episode notes

The flying experience has been dreadful since the passage of the right-stripping PATRIOT ACT, and the surveillance state has become embedded throughout airports in a variety of ways. The TSA is committed to making the flying experience memorable for all the wrong reasons, all while they manage to never catch an actual terrorist.

Once a traveler clears the gauntlet of privacy-shredding airport requirements, they still have to hope that the air traffic controllers do their jobs with Soviet-era hardware and copper phone lines, all while being dangerously overworked with no end in sight. How much longer can the duct tape and chewing gum keep the American airline industry in the air?
