Boss Babes: More Khufu than Cleopatra
Episode notes
We've all seen 'em... those ads telling us we could be our own boss, appealing to our desire to make money, work for ourselves, and feel empowered... if only we join this group of other girl bosses in this company or selling that product...
Those ads are selling you more Khufu than Cleopatra, more pyramid scheme than boss babe-itude. This episode dives into the various types of schemes out there designed to separate you from your money by promising you more money than you put in and the differences between them so you can spot them more easily. I'm talking Ponzi schemes, Pyramid schemes, and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) organizations.
