Guilt is a natural emotion which helps to keep us attached to our parents as children and as a healthy detour signal to remind us we don't prefer to repeat behaviors and circumstances as an adult. But this temporary emotion can be over-active if you grew up in a dysfunctional or co-dependent home... leaving you feeling guilty for things you shouldn't. Let's train this responsive emotion to be in balance with loving ourselves.
