Good evening. Louisiana. I'm Aaron Jolly.
Step outside and you might think we skipped right past Mardi Gras and landed in late April. We're sitting at 72 degrees under clear skies right now. That's a solid 63 degrees warmer than usual for early March. The calendar says spring is two weeks away, but the atmosphere clearly didn't get the memo.
In the next 24 hours. Down in Southeast Louisiana, you'll want to watch for patchy fog rolling in after midnight, lingering until about 2 A.M. Lows will only dip to 65 degrees. Tomorrow morning, that fog burns off quickly by 7 A.M., leaving you with mostly sunny skies and a high pushing 79 degrees. It's a gentle breeze from the southeast, perfect weather if you ask me.
