Latika Gordon was born in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in a loving home that consisted of her parents, two brothers and one sister. She and her family moved to the small community of Penney Farms, Florida in the summer of 2001.

Having grown up around music and the arts, her love for creative arts grew naturally as a child. She fondly recalls her love for music spurring to a new musical height, after receiving an electric piano as a Christmas gift from her parents. Conversely, throughout her life, Latika has always been fascinated by images, colors, and music. Naturally, she was drawn to sketching, drawing, painting, singing, and musical instruments.
