What If Superman Starred in The Running Man? + GAOS Favorites
Episode notes
We kick off with the Great American Outdoor Show highlights: the Henry Mare's Leg in the X-Model, Taylor's & Co.'s badass short-throw 9mm lever action (including that Space Cowboy version collab), and Whiskey River Antiques loaded with old-school surplus munitions. Then we dive deeper into The Running Man follow-up—turns out Christopher Reeve was originally cast as Ben Richards before major script changes that turned a darker, more book-faithful story into the over-the-top '80s action classic we know. Would it have stuck closer to Stephen King's novel with Superman in the lead? We speculate! We vent about the dumbest internet comments out there (why do people even?), geek out over classics like Big Trouble in Little China, Top Secret!, Tom Selleck's detective flicks, and why owning physical media for movies and music still rules in 2026. Grab a seat—this one's packed with guns, movies, rants, and laughs. Thanks for hanging!
