The Resurrection & The Life - PT 3

The resurrection of Christ is the foundation of the Gospel Message. Throughout the New Testament we find countless references to this miraculous event, the cornerstone of our faith. Jesus was not the first person to return from the dead. There are Old Testament examples of people coming back from the dead, and Jesus Himself raised several from the dead in the gospel letters. However, they all died again. But Jesus lives and reigns forevermore! "And He is the Head of the Body, the Church, Who is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." (Col. 1:18) Jesus was the first ‘born’ from the dead. He was the first to conquer death and was raised in His Incorruptible, eternal Body. He will never die again. Being that Jesus is the first born from the dead, indicates He is not the only one who is raised from the dead. This same resurrection power takes place in ALL who believe in Jesus. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Rom. 10:9) “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Rom. 8:11) The resurrection is more than just an event that happened 2,000 years ago. It is more than just an Easter celebration. The resurrection is happening daily around the world. Men and women are believing in the resurrection of Jesus and then experiencing their own resurrection. Life takes the place of death, light drives out darkness, faith replaces fear, and joy replaces depression. This is exactly what it means to be born-again. Your spirit that was dead (separated from God, must be resurrected to life. When Jesus returns our physical bodies will also experience the transforming power of the resurrection. Therefore, the resurrection is more than a day of remembrance (Easter). It is the day that we ourselves proclaim our own lives from the dead! What is more, the incredible Goodness of God includes that this same resurrection power LIVES IN US and through us (Eph. 1:20) to bring this same Resurrection Harvest to the multitudes Jesus has commissioned us to disciple with the Gospel of Christ. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Pet. 1:3)

  • Beholding His Goodness - PT 4

Beholding His Goodness - PT 4

Getting a revelation of the Goodness of God has done more for my faith than studying faith. We all have the faith of God, yet many don't know how to access it. Thus we limit God. Understanding His Grace helps us access His grace more. It makes faith alive. The Goodness of God is the nature of God, His very glory (Ex. 33:18-19, 34:7). It is the Gospel of Christ that is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes (Rom. 1:16). God created us for relationship. His heart is to fellowship with us and bless us. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." (Ps. 23:6) His favor surrounds us like a shield (Ps. 5:12). Those who seek the Lord shall lack no good thing." (Ps. 34:10) "I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the Goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." (Ps, 27:13) What are we beholding? What language are we speaking? The Kingdom of God with thankfulness and blessing or the kingdom of darkness with complaining and confusion. Do you trust Him? Are you blessed? What do you talk about first? What do you talk about the most? Challenges or blessings? Sickness? Lack of resources? The cares of the world? Who is your Lord? What are you beholding? What are you trusting in? His Goodness? Are the cares of the world choking out His Word? Choking out His peace and joy? I want to charge you to get a revelation of the Goodness of God. I want to urge you behold His Goodness! Walk in His Goodness! Declare His Goodness over every area of life ! Everyday! To Rest in His Goodness because He will take care of everything!
