December 23, 2018 - ADVENT: WHAT HEAVEN WILL BE LIKE

Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty   What will our eternal future be like? What will our bodies and the place we live be like? Chances are, it will be different than what you thought it would be growing up. It will be far greater than you can imagine!

December 16, 2018 - GOD'S WISDOM IN REDEEMING HIS ENEMIES

Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty We need a Redeemer. We have sinned against the God of the Universe, and are currently "out on bail," living freely in this life. But one day, we will stand before the Judge to state our case for why we should be forgiven for committing cosmic treason. On our own, we have no case, we have no hope. We need a Redeemer to come in and stand in our place.

December 9, 2018 - GOD'S WISDOM WITHIN THE FALL OF MAN

Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty How does the Fall of Man display God's Wisdom? It seems that when something we create becomes broken, it proves a lack of wisdom on our part. But this is not so with God. He weaves this incredible story and reveals His wisdom in it even through its darkest parts.

December, 2 - ADVENT: GOD'S WISDOM IN CREATING ALL THINGS

Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud - God's Wisdom in Creating All Things Jobey McGinty Christ is the Wisdom of God, and when He came to the earth 2,000 years ago, we got to see and behold God's Wisdom in the flesh. But the leading up to His birth, and the result of His life, is what makes His appearance, His Advent, so awe-inspiring and the ultimate display of His Wisdom.

November 25, 2018 - THE SPIRIT-LED LIFE

The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.1-4 Jobey McGinty Regardless of what we believe about the spiritual gifts (particularly prophecy and prophets), how do we discern what to do and how to make decisions when we believe God is leading us in a particular direction? How do we make godly decisions and live a life that is fueled by the Holy Spirit?

November 18, 2018 - WHAT ARE PROPHECIES AND PROPHETS?

The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.1-4 Jobey McGinty What was the role of New Testament prophets and prophecy, and are the New Testament prophets and prophecy that Paul describes in his letters still around today? In this sermon, we look at these and other questions concerning this hotly debated gift of the Holy Spirit.

November 11, 2018 - THE FEAR OF MAN

Wisdom Cries Aloud - Proverbs 29:25 Eric Price We live in a noisy world, with many different voices and enticements coming from every angle. At the head of the street Wisdom is crying out for us to run to her; to close our ears and turn our hearts away from the many distractions that would keep us trapped in self-centered pursuits. But will we return the call, seeking after Wisdom as silver or gold?

November 4, 2018 - HOW TO REALLY LOVE OTHERS

The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 13.1-13 Jobey McGinty The Corinthian church was looking at their personal giftings and place in society as a way of finding their identity, prominence, and value. But Paul says there is a much better way to find those things, and a much better way to use our gifts, and that is the way of love. We could be the most talented and gifted people in our community, but if we are not doing things out of love, it is nothing. But what does real love look like, and how to do grow in our love for others?

October 28, 2018 - LOVE: A MORE EXCELLENT WAY

The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 13.1-3 Jobey McGinty The Corinthian church was looking at their personal giftings and place in society as a way of finding their identity, prominence, and value. But Paul says there is a much better way to find those things, and a much better way to use our gifts, and that is the way of love. We could be the most talented and gifted people in our community, but if we are not doing things out of love, it is nothing.

October 21, 2018 - WE NEED EACH OTHER

The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 12.14-31 Jobey McGinty Each person has been uniquely gifted by God to play an important role in the body of Christ. Though we may think we are less important or unimportant, just because we believe or feel that does not make it true. We each have an important role to play, whether we like our role or even see our role or not.
