Examining the Epic Mickey series: a strange mixture of immersive sim and 3D platformer. The original game is a curious piece of my childhood, and I've been eager to revisit it ever since it launched a decade ago. Originally published February 26, 2019.
Pac-Man World 2 has a unique stance on 100% completion that hearkens back to the mentality of going for a high-score. And I adore that. But I also realized upon revisiting the game (for the millionth time) that it needs a ton of work. Originally published January 27, 2019.
I love Sonic Riders. The only problem? I only love it because I figured everything out on my own. The game doesn't teach you anything. I'm here to explain why I believe Sonic Riders flopped upon release, but also what makes it worth holding in high regard. Originally published September 29, 2018.
