David Newman is the Director of the Guernsey Alcohol Advisory Service, providing counselling and support to anyone whose life is negatively affected by alcohol. Prior to joining the advisory service in 1993, Newman worked as an alcohol support worker in Northallerton and Morayshire.

Alongside offering counselling and support, the GAAS owns a rehabilitation Dry House, offering a safe environment for people to rebuild their lives.
