Nat and Kevin are joined by James to discuss how people from marginalized communities find ways to blend in with normative society, which is a survival strategy called passing. Since there will always be people who demonize and punish others for being different in the normative world, people who are considered different need to put on a particular performance that shows others that they’re normal. Kinksters, queer people, and many other groups have passed in some shape or fashion, from being closeted to just trying to fit in.
