In the isolated town of Perfection, Nevada, handymen Val and Earl long to escape their uneventful lives. Their plans are thwarted by monstrous underground creatures with a taste for human flesh. Joining forces with a resourceful seismologist and a quirky survivalist couple, they must fight for survival against the giant, worm-like Graboids using their wits and whatever weapons they can muster.
