Highs today hit the low to mid 70s — running about 35 degrees warmer than usual for early March. Lexington hits 73 under sunshine. Bowling Green reaches 76 with partly sunny skies. Eastern Kentucky also climbs to 76, with the calmest winds of the day. Up near Louisville, expect mostly sunny conditions and 74 degrees. Breezy southwest winds pick up this afternoon, gusting to 24 miles an hour in spots. Tonight brings increasing clouds and a chance of storms. Lows stay mild in the upper 50s to low 60s statewide.
