The Arne Cheyenne Johnson case (1981), known as the "Devil Made Me Do It" case, is considered the first trial in the U.S. in which the defendant claimed demonic possession. Arne killed Alan Bono, and the defense argued that he was possessed, following the Warrens' involvement with the Glatzel family.
