How should we think about Lindsay Clancy? This story has divided America and people have strong opinions on it. But, I think Christians are forgetting something. Something that might be the most important piece of this. I don't really think people should dwell on this case, but I really think that this is important to say.
I feel like we often skip over the part where it says "Rejoice with those who rejoice" and go straight to "weep with those who weep." Let's take a moment to reflect on the first part of the verse and explore why it's actually more difficult than it seems.

People often say "love me for who I am!" Is that really what people want though? It seems to me that people crave something more deep and beautiful than that. As Christians, we can help others contemplate how beautiful God's love really is. And if you're tempted to take this episode the wrong way, keep Romans 6:1-2 in mind: "What shall we say then?
