We wanted to make the episode a little more fun and lighthearted, but our main goal was to demonstrate how easy it can be to communicate with your teenager. If you only talk to them about serious or stressful matters, they will eventually avoid talking to you altogether. Even if the things they want to discuss might seem trivial to you, it's important to remember that they simply want to talk to you, and if you don't find their interests engaging, they will feel discouraged. By engaging with your teenager on smaller topics, you can eventually build trust and open the door to more meaningful conversations.
