Today’s topic is one that hits close to home for many believers: Why do we tend to run from the purpose God has for our lives? Have you ever felt God nudging you to do something, but instead of moving forward, you stepped back? Maybe God called you to start a ministry, forgive someone, share your testimony, begin a business, mentor young people, or simply trust Him in a new season—but fear, doubt, or comfort kept you from moving.

Some are small, while others leave deep scars. The good news is that God doesn’t define us by our failures. He uses them to teach us, strengthen us, and draw us closer to Him. The question isn’t whether we’ve made mistakes—it’s whether we’re willing to learn from them.
Giving up control doesn’t mean giving up responsibility—it means surrendering what we cannot control into God’s capable hands. When we stop trying to be in charge of everything, we make room for God’s peace, wisdom, and direction.
