Episode notes
"A New Testimony" from the Dwell City Church YouTube channel, primarily focuses on John the Baptist's testimony about Jesus Christ. The speaker begins by drawing a parallel between John the Baptist and a forerunner, using the fictional character Aslan from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe as an example of a long-awaited redeemer. The sermon then examines John 1:19-34, highlighting John the Baptist's denials of being the Christ, Elijah, or the Prophet, emphasizing his role as the "voice crying in the wilderness" to prepare the way for the Lord. The core message asserts that Jesus is the promised Messiah, God the Son, and the sacrificial Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, a truth proclaimed by John the Baptist, foretold in the Old Testament, and validated by the Trinity.
