Season 1

Let's draw a friendly fairy

Today I want to draw two floating magical fairies with magic wands and flowery dresses. They will have very cool wings like butterflies and dragonflies. Have you ever summoned a fairy? Let's bring them to your paper!

Let's draw a Saint Patrick's Day scene

Let's draw a scene celebrating Saint Patrick's Day! I'll tell you about the legends of Saint Patrick's Day, and even debunk some old legends. We'll draw a rainbow, a pot of gold, Saint Patrick himself, a sheep, and some shamrocks. Which parts of the picture do you think are from Saint Patrick? Which aren't, but are still from Ireland?

Let's draw a wacky pizza on Pi day

Today we are celebrating circles on Pi Day (3.14) by drawing a wacky, silly pizza. Maybe we'll have some normal toppings like cheese and pepperoni, but our imaginations are going to add the silliest toppings we can think of!

Let's draw pigs in the mud

Today we'll draw two big happy pigs, rolling in the mud on a farm. It's silly to draw pigs playing in mud so we'll practice keeping our attitudes light and learn that it's okay to laugh at ourselves as we learn.

Let's draw Dr. Jane Goodall and a chimpanzee

Today we'll draw Dr. Jane Goodall and a couple of the chimpanzees she studied. This week we celebrate National Woman's Day, so we'll celebrate a beloved woman scientist and her primates she studied so closely.

Let's draw a castle

Today we'll draw a castle, made of brick with a draw bridge and a moat to protect the king and queen. What's the story your imagination wants to tell about the castle?

Let's draw Mars rovers

Let's draw the planet Mars and the rovers Curiosity and Perseverance. We'll add the terrain of Mars, including a volcano and a cater. We'll spend a lot of time using our imaginations on robots--Mars rovers!

Let's draw a lion

They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Let's draw a papa lion, a mama lion, and a lion cub on a rainy day, taking shelter in their den. What's the lion cub up to? That's your artist choice!

Let's draw a fire-fighter

Today we'll draw a fire-fighter standing in his or her protective gear, next to a fire hydrant and spraying water. We'll talk about how fire-fighters are here to help, and imagine how you can be prepared in an emergency.

Let's draw arctic animals

Today I want to draw arctic animals on the ice and in the water. We'll draw beluga whales in the sea, ice seals on ice, and a mama polar bear with her cub. Did you know it's National Polar Bear Awareness Day? Learn more from Bears International. Thank you for listening. Please subscribe to the podcast, rate and review, or support the show in any way you can. Thank you for drawing with me!
