Thunderstorms fire up by late morning with gusts hitting 23 miles an hour. We're talking a quarter to half an inch of rain, followed by a brutal temperature crash. You'll drop from 54 degrees this afternoon down to 35 by morning. That's a 26 degrees-degree freefall. Head north and it's just a solid soaker. Northern Idaho stays stuck in the 40s with steady rain through this evening. You could see up to half an inch up there. Eastern Idaho starts quiet with partly sunny skies and highs near 54.
