The Gunslinger: Chapter One

I'm excited to begin our deep dive into the magic, the mystery and the metaphysics of Stephen King's magnum opus, The Dark Tower series, starting with Chapter One of "The Gunslinger."

In this episode we:

• Get the best opening live ever: "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."
• Meet our protagonist, but not get his name for quite awhile! (Until I accidently say it before the reveal in the book - oops!)
• Entrench ourselves firmly in our setting, the wobbly, dreamy "apotheosis of all deserts" and
• Get a story within a story, within a story....within a story?

If you've read the series more than once, I have a separate podcast called "Tower Junkies Only." email me for show ideas or if you'd like to be a guest: RealityRemixRadio@Gmail.com I'd love to hear from you!
