Episode notes
THE WEEKEND VIBE — An Atlantic World Sound
The frequency changes for the weekend. THE WEEKEND VIBE brings together six original HYDESMAN Radio records in one uninterrupted rotation, moving through Atlantic identity, after-hours energy, attitude, dancehall, experimental pop and the sound of building something of your own.
The Atlantic world is not treated here as a single genre. It is a cultural space: Caribbean, American and global influences moving against each other, borrowing, mutating and producing something new. From the opening call of “Atlantic Roll Call” to the closing declaration of “Architect,” the set moves through different sounds without asking them to become the same thing.
