This week on Nessie’s Dead we are taking the plunge into some dark history and hauntings! Specifically with sanitariums and a detention center for boys. While these places were intended to help or heal, much death and tragedy occurred, making them centers of suffering. And you of course know those places become a hot spot of ghostly activity.

While there, they came across a collection of tiny wooden coffins..and by tiny we mean 3-4 inch tall coffins. Word of this spread and studies revealed that inside were tiny wooden figures. The Hexham Heads

What happens when two boys discover some old stones heads buried in their backyard? A crazy haunting of course! Collin and Leslie Robson dug up some small stone heads in the town of Hexham in 1971. At first it seemed like nothing more than a cool find, that is until strange things begin happening. Everyone that ends up getting involved experienced some kind of haunting that leads to a strange and terrifying creature appearing in their homes.

Yuba County Five

February 24th, 1978, a group of five men, known as “the boys”, went missing after watching a basketball game in Chico, California. Each of the five men had either a mild intellectual disability or mental illness, and had found a community with eachother along with a local basketball team. However, after attending the game in Chico, they drove 50 miles the opposite direction from their homes, never to be seen alive again. Eventually, four of their bodies ended up being discovered in the woods of Yuba county. But one man’s remains have still yet to be discovered. This is one of those cases that leaves you really questioning how and why…let us know what you think really happened

Unraveling the Banyan Tree Ritual:A Family Tragedy

The Chundawat family ran a grocery store in the Burari neighborhood of Delhi, India for about twenty years. They were known for their hard work and ideal family structure so people took notice when the store didn’t open promptly on July 1, 2018. Investigations commence and police are horrified to find all eleven family members dead inside the house with their mouths gagged and hands bound. The cause of each of their deaths’ was hanging. Nine were hanging from the ceiling, one hanging from a door frame, and another having been found in a room on the floor. Police were able to confirm this wasn’t caused by an intruder and that it seemed self inflicted even though there was no reason for a family of eleven to commit a mass suicide. At least not that they knew of right away.

Gef The Talking Mongoose

The Irving family moved to the Isle of Man with the intention of starting a new life in 1917. However, it turns out their new home would end up being haunted. Like most haunting cases, it begins with knocking and other strange sounds and things escalate from there. But this was no normal haunting. The Irving family was being haunted by a talking mongoose named Gef.

Gary Michael Hilton:The National Forest Serial Killer

Between 2007 and 2008, 61 year old, Gary Michael Hilton, brutally murdered a confirmed four people in national parks across the states. This lead to him being known as the national forest serial killer. This week we take the plunge into Gary’s early life and the circumstances that lead to creating a monster, his crimes, and the victims’ stories.
