Chief Bob Muenz assumed the role of Chief of Police in Blue Springs on October 1, 2017, bringing a wealth of experience accumulated over 30 years in law enforcement. His journey began in 1992 in Warrenton, Missouri, and has been marked by dedication and leadership.

Before his current position, Chief Muenz was the Chief of Police in Oak Grove for a decade, starting as a supervisor in 1999. A testament to his commitment to professional development, he recently graduated from the prestigious FBI National Academy, Session 266.

Chief Muenz and his wife Suzie, residents of the Blue Springs area since 1999, have two children. His tenure with the Blue Springs Police Department, starting in November 2012, reflects not only his professional dedication but also his commitment to the community.
