Episode notes
Welcome to the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sermon Podcast. We’re glad you’re joining us as we listen to God’s Word and grow together in faith.
Today’s sermon, preached by Reverend Derek Jacks on September 27, 2026, is titled “Hold Fast and Draw Near,” from Hebrews 4:14 through 5:10.
When we face weakness, temptation, or uncertainty, where can we turn? Hebrews directs us to Jesus Christ, our great High Priest, who understands our struggles and opens the way into God’s presence. Because of him, we can hold firmly to our confession of faith and approach God’s throne with confidence, trusting that we will receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.
As you listen, consider how Christ’s compassion strengthens your faith and invites you into deeper fellowship with God.
Now, let us hear “Hold Fast and Draw Near.”
