Episode notes
Welcome to the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sermon Podcast.
Thank you for joining us as we gather around God's Word. Today's sermon was preached on Sunday, August 2, 2026, by Dallas Knight and is titled "The Lord Is on Our Side," based on Psalm 124.
Dallas is a 2021 graduate of Beeson Divinity School, serves as a staff chaplain at UAB Hospital, is an inquirer for ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and is a member of South Highland Presbyterian Church on Birmingham's Southside.
In Psalm 124, the people of God look back with gratitude and confess that their help has never come from their own strength, but from the Lord, who faithfully delivers and preserves his people. As you listen today, may this message encourage you to trust the God who remains with his people through every trial and to rejoice in the truth that the Lord is on our side.
Now, let's listen together as Dallas Knight opens God's Word.
