Episode notes
In 1 Samuel 8 we learn that the Israelites made the choice to reject the Lord and instead follow the influences that were competing for their hearts, their attention and allegiance was not to the Lord, not to recognize Him as their King but rather they chose to be ruled by man.
Because they chose not the Lord to rule over them, instead they would be given what they asked for; a king, which would rule over them in tyranny.
