In today's culture, those words are sometimes dismissed as empty or performative - but in the Catholic faith, prayer is far from meaningless. We explore how prayer connects us deeply to God, aligns our hearts with His will, and has the power to move mountains.
At the same time, Catholic teaching reminds us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17) Prayer is never meant to replace action, but to inspire it. When tragedy strikes-whether it's a school shooting, a natural disaster, or a neighbor in crisis - our first response should be prayer, but our next step must be compassion in action. That could mean volunteering, giving, advocating for peace, or simply being present for those who are suffering
