I feel as though we walked into this recording as strangers and left as best friends haha. Sophie is a 29 year old Holistic Counsellor who’s been diagnosed with endometriosis, epilepsy (depending on which specialist you ask), coeliac disease, PTSD (from childhood trauma) and unofficially diagnosed with PTSD from my medical journey too Her story starts at the onset of puberty at age 12 when she started developing debilitating symptoms alongside her period. After being told for years that her 'pain was normal' and 'everyone has period pain' she takes us through her decision to have a hysterectomy, the hurdles that preceded it and how she is today.
