What's the best way to spend money if we want to maximize our happiness and joy? Paul's encouragement to the Corinthians essentially answers that question for us. By using the image of a farmer sowing seed, Paul emphasizes that we harvest in proportion to what we invest. Those who give generously will receive generously from God, but it doesn't stop there. Paul emphasizes that receiving more is really just a step toward giving more. We enter into a cycle of generosity, joining God in blessing the world. By giving more, we get more — especially more of God.
