Hello From Obscurity
Season 1
Priest (2011) With Lily Lenarz Hooyman
The Blob (1958)
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
by Wesley Erickson, Peter Clark, Lily Lenarz Hooyman, and Sam Pavich
The year is 2011, for some reason Paul Bettany is on a religious movie kick and has decided to be an action star. Another graphic novel is being adapted. Karl Urban is wearing a black hat. And vampires are running rampant. With special guest Lily, Peter and Wesley are going down to cathedral city to see what the Priests are up to.
The year is 1958 and a young actor named Steve McQueen has just accepted his first leading role in a little horror movie called The Blob. Is this oozy gooey monster striking enough to scare you for years on end? Or should it remain frozen and stuffed away to never be seen again? Peter and Wesley are about to find out!
The year is 2003, Sean Connery is looking for a new project, Alan Moore comics are flying off the shelves, and Wesley and Peter are about to jump into the world of the literary avengers. Does the league still hold up nearly two decades later, or are things not as extraordinary as they once seemed?
The year was 1990. A new horror/comedy starring Kevin Bacon and some killer worms had just been released to little fanfare. 30 years later Wesley and Peter unearth the beasts to determine if they're even worth remembering.
