A Christmas Carol
Episode notes
It’s Christmas Eve — the lights are on, the tree is up, and everyone’s pretending this year taught them something.
So let’s slow it down.
In this special holiday episode of Heel Club, The Voice tells a familiar Christmas story — power, responsibility, ghosts, and reckoning — only this time, it’s wrestling wearing the chains.
Using the framework of A Christmas Carol, we walk through wrestling’s past, present, and future to examine how control, caution, and fear of embarrassment have quietly reshaped the business. This isn’t nostalgia. It isn’t outrage. It’s reflection — with teeth.
Who we were.
What we became.
And what happens if nothing actually changes.
No shouting. No hot takes. Just a cold look at how wrestling handles power, creativity, and the moments that used to matter — and whether it still knows how to trust itself.
Merry Christmas.
Let’s talk about the bill that comes due.
Join the club. Turn heel.
