Dave is a Children's Pastor, improv comedian, improv coach, and podcaster based in the Chicago suburbs. But, I wouldn't be doing any of that were it not for God. I spent many years fighting depression and suicidal ideations from high school into my early 30s. Finally, in 2013, I surrendered my pain, my desire for suicide, my depression, and my life to God. He showed me that making people laugh, giving that gift of relief and hope through laughter, was what He wanted me to do, but not for my own selfish purposes, but for His purposes. I explain it this way, "I used to use comedy to hide who I was, I now use comedy to reveal Who He Is." Now I perform and teach improv to serve the Kingdom, including teaching workshops at an organization in Chicago for women who have survived sex trafficking.
