CAN ANYONE ACTUALLY BEAT ME?!

Can somebody finally overthrow the hEaD Pop Tier List Champion? Can someone construct a list more perfect than mine? Or will everyone once again learn the painful truth that my completely unbiased and definitely-not-made-up ranking system is simply unbeatable?

Come on then. Challenge accepted. 😂

🕷️ SPIDER-MAN IS ALREADY A $1 BILLION MONSTER!

Spider-Man has absolutely exploded at the box office, racing to the $1 BILLION mark.

But I want to ask a much bigger and slightly ridiculous question:

COULD THIS ACTUALLY BECOME THE FIRST $3 BILLION MOVIE?!

It sounds bonkers... but just how high can Spider-Man climb?

We’re looking at the numbers, the hype and whether this thing has enough web left to swing its way towards box-office history.

🎮 GTA 6 + NETFLIX = ADVERTISING GENIUS?!

Netflix showing a GTA 6 preview/advert on its streaming service caught my attention because I think this is absolutely fantastic business.

Now, do I want Netflix to become one enormous advert machine where I'm halfway through a film and suddenly someone starts trying to sell me a virtual sports car?

No.

But as a special promotional event?

This is clever.

Netflix gets people talking, GTA 6 gets itself in front of an enormous streaming audience, and suddenly a trailer becomes an EVENT.

Could this be a glimpse at where streaming advertising is heading, or is it something that only works because GTA 6 is... well... GTA 6?!

🧝‍♀️ YES, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT FRIEREN AGAIN. DEAL WITH IT.

Of course we’re going back to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

Why?

Because it’s brilliant.

That's the argument.

That's the evidence.

Case closed.

We’re checking in with one of the best anime around and continuing what is rapidly becoming the weekly hEaD Pop tradition of me finding another excuse to talk about Frieren.

I regret nothing.

🏰 WAIT... DISNEY ADMITTED SOME FILMS FLOPPED?!

And finally, something unusual has happened at Disney...

HONESTY?!

Disney’s CEO has acknowledged that some of the company’s movies simply haven’t performed as well as expected.

No complicated explanation. No pretending everything went according to plan.

Some films underperformed.

And you know what?

I actually respect the honesty.

So we’re looking at what was said, which movies struggled, what went wrong and whether Disney acknowledging the problem could actually be the first step towards fixing it.
