The Legend of Zelda and General Nintendo Direct Reactions
Episode notes
Or: Now That Nintendo Released Two Directs Within the Span of 25 Hours, Has the Void In Your Soul Been Replaced With Meaning?
Take a trip down Hardcore Hype Lane as your pal Nick regales you on Eiji Aonuma's handsome facial features. Oh, and there's a discussion on The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct and the general Nintendo Direct too.
What exactly did Nintendo have in store for The Legend of Zelda's 40th Anniversary? They started with a wonderful orchestral medley of various songs from The Legend of Zelda series before finally blowing out all the details we've been waiting for on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2. And of course, they took plenty of opportunities to sell us stuff along the way—from new amiibo to replica ocarinas to special edition Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controllers.
The very next day, Nintendo aired their General Nintendo Direct. Though a new 3D Mario game didn't show up, we still got announcements for Metroid Ravenous, Kirby and the World Beyond, and plenty of third party games like Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Monster Hunter Wilds, and more. And of course there were new Nintendo Switch 2 editions announced for Pikmin 4 and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
So press play and listen as your pal Nick walks you through all things related to The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct and the General Nintendo Direct!
