Seeking the Lost: The Mandate of the Gracious Shepherd
Episode notes
Seeking the Lost: The Mandate of the Gracious Shepherd
This sermon by Pastor Israel Adebayo explores the spiritual necessity of seeking lost souls, drawing parallels between the biblical account of Saul searching for his father’s lost livestock and Jesus Christ’s mission to redeem humanity. It emphasises that while people are naturally defiled by sin and face eternal judgment, they can receive a transformed life and a clean heart through faith in Christ. The message highlights the Great Commission, asserting that all believers have a divine mandate to spread the gospel using every available modern resource. Furthermore, it warns against the dangers of spiritual stagnation, comparing those who do not share their faith to the lifeless Dead Sea. Ultimately, the message serves as a call to repentance and active evangelism, promising divine rewards for those who dedicatedly serve as "soul-winners". The message concludes with a structured prayer for salvation and a reminder that true Christian identity is defined by character rather than outward appearance.
