Philip: A Model for Contemporary Evangelists
Episode notes
Philip: A Model for Contemporary Evangelists
This sermon by Pastor Israel Adebayo presents the biblical figure Philip as the definitive standard for modern Christian outreach. The message argues that a believer's primary purpose is not professional success or wealth accumulation, but the active preaching of the Gospel through every available medium. To achieve this, the sermon outlines a progression of spiritual qualifications, including personal salvation, sanctification, and the Holy Spirit's empowerment. The message stresses that evangelism requires a heart of compassion and a willingness to engage with diverse communities without discrimination. Ultimately, followers are encouraged to be faithful and focused messengers who prioritise the message of Christ over personal branding. Such commitment is portrayed as the only path to a fruitful life that earns eternal rewards.
