Georgia Weather: 02-21-2026

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Georgia Weather Podcast for Saturday, February 21st. Folks, Georgia is pulling a fast one on us tonight. Right now you're enjoying the mid 60s in Atlanta. Coastal Georgia? Pushing 80 degrees with thunderstorms already firing. Soak it in, because here's the deal. By tomorrow morning, temperatures crash like they fell off a cliff. Let's start down along the coast. Savannah hit near 80 degrees this afternoon. Tonight those storms get serious, peaking around 25 degrees A.M. with heavy rain. You're looking at one to two inches. Lows settle near 55 degrees. Then Sunday delivers a 50 degree crash. Highs barely touch 64, and by Monday morning you're waking up to 31 degrees. Gale force winds at 21 miles an hour will make it feel even nastier. Head inland to Augusta and eastern Georgia. Scattered showers are wrapping up tonight. Patchy fog rolls in with lows near 49 degrees. Sunday clears out nicely, but highs only reach 57. That's 20 degrees colder than today. Now up to Metro Atlanta. You'll want to enjoy this evening. A slight chance of rain sneaks in around midnight, then temperatures tank to 38 degrees by 25 degrees A.M. Sunday's highs struggle to reach 48 with northwest winds gusting to 35 miles an hour. Monday morning? A brutal 25 degrees. Wind chills in the teens. One big thing. A Red Flag Warning kicks in Sunday for southeast Georgia. Humidity drops to 24 percent with those gusty winds. Cancel any outdoor burns. Period. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Monday stays frozen statewide. Highs in the 40s, lows in the 20s. Cover those early blooms. Tuesday rebounds slightly near 50 degrees. By Wednesday the 60s return, but rain moves back in. Thursday looks likely for showers, so keep that umbrella handy. So. If this forecast helped you plan your week, share it with a neighbor. Word of mouth keeps us going. Stay safe out there, and bundle up tonight. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Georgia Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 19th. Folks, here's the deal. Mother Nature is pulling a fast one on us today. Half the state feels like spring. The other half is getting a bath. Down along the coast, Savannah and the islands are soaking up 81 degrees with a gentle southwest breeze at 7 to 10 miles an hour. That's borderline beach weather. But you'll want to enjoy it early, because scattered showers crash the party by afternoon and could linger into the evening. Now head inland to Metro Atlanta. You're waking up to a mild 67 degrees, which sounds lovely until the clouds muscle in. Showers roll through by late morning, and rain is likely all afternoon. Light northeast winds, nothing dramatic. Just wet. Eastern Georgia gets the worst of it. Rain is likely all day long, with temperatures stuck near 68 degrees. Northeast breezes keep things moving, but your umbrella is earning its keep today. One bright spot? Sunset tonight is at 5:19, and we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day. Spring is tiptoeing closer. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Sunday the rain clears out and cooler air settles in. Highs drop into the 50s across most of the state. Think sweatshirt weather. Then a slow, steady warm up kicks in midweek. Dry skies stick around, and by Thursday, southern Georgia could flirt with 70 degrees again. That's the kind of rebound that makes you love living here. So. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a friend. Word of mouth is how we grow, and we appreciate every single one of you. Stay dry out there this afternoon. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Georgia Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th. Folks, Georgia is running two completely different seasons today. The coast woke up thinking it's May. Atlanta woke up thinking it's still January. Here's the deal. Down in coastal Georgia, you're hitting 81 degrees this afternoon. That's nearly 20 degrees above normal for mid February. Soak it in. Southwesterly winds at 6 to 10 miles an hour keep things comfortable. But showers are likely rolling in later, so don't leave the umbrella behind. Tonight you're settling into the mid 60s. Still gorgeous. Now drive inland to Metro Atlanta. Completely different story. You're topping out around 55 degrees under stubborn clouds. Rain is likely here too. Lows tonight hang in the upper 40s. Tomorrow brings a nice rebound into the mid 60s though. Over in eastern Georgia, you're splitting the difference at 68 degrees. Rain is very likely, and those light northeast winds at 2 to 6 miles an hour won't dry anything out. Lows tonight drop to the mid 50s. Keep the rain jacket handy. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. A slow warming trend is building. Coastal areas stay toasty while the rest of the state gradually climbs into the 60s and 70s. Rain chances linger through Monday, then things dry out by midweek. That's the kind of forecast that makes Wednesday feel like a reward. One more thing. We're gaining 2 minutes and 52 seconds of daylight every day now. Sunrise at 6:32 A.M., sunset at 5:20 P.M. Air quality is moderate, so if you're sensitive, you'll want to take it easy outside. Alright. If you're enjoying these morning updates, share us with a friend who hates weather surprises. We all know somebody. Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
