Episode notes

You've prayed and prayed, and nothing has changed.

  • The marriage is still struggling. The kids are still wandering.
  • The diagnosis is still there.

Stay in a hard season long enough and it starts to convince you it's permanent.

Psalm 126 is six verses, written for people who know what it's like to wait, to weep, and to watch God turn everything around. Pastor Chad preaches it from inside his own season of tears and walks through three ways to find joy in the middle of your pain: remember His faithfulness, request His restoration, and rely on His promise.

The Negev is a dry, barren wasteland with no permanent rivers, right up until it rains. Then, in an instant, what looked dead is flooded. That's the picture behind verse 4. Dry does not mean dead. Some of us have put a period where God only wants a comma. And the tears you're sowing right now are not the end of the story.
