Jesse’s old moonshining pals are upset with boss because he used their senior center money for a house of ill repute. They’re busy blowing up stuff around the county while Boss is busy interviewing the belles of Hazzard. Fortunately, Bo and Luke didn’t have anything going on today, so they insert themselves into the action. Oh, and we’ve got a new sheriff again. There’s too much to discuss here, and we honestly don’t know how they fit everything into a single episode. But they did it, and the Fun Boys are talking about it. When a Texas Ranger with a heart of gold comes to Hazzard, that can only mean one thing. There’s a gang of tough guys, led by that shifty ol' Snake Harmon, and they want to root, toot, and shoot anything that gets in their way. Cue the Dukes! Bo and Luke don’t mind infiltrating the gang, and they make it look so fun that Daisy does it too. The revolving door at the sheriff’s office is still spinning, but I’m pretty sure Grady is at the helm of ineptitude this week. Sweet Loretta is on her way to do a show, but Hazzard County has other plans. Boss and Rosco reroute her tour bus past the Boars Nest where she is promptly kidnapped by the Pine Valley Rockers. They spend most of the episode parked in a barn, while Bo and Luke slowly drive around, and the local fuzz doesn’t really leave the Boars Nest. Not much urgency in this one, but everyone seemed to have a lovely day in Hazzard. Loretta even decided to skip her concert to go back to the Boars Nest at the end. Take a load off, everyone. Two new cops in town!? Sheriff Grady Bird joins the cast, but the big news is that Daisy becomes a deputy. Grady catches some bank robbers and they escape on Daisy’s watch. Everyone joins the chase until it ends with a plane crash. There was some questionable behavior and decision making in this episode, and that’s saying something for Hazzard county. This week we’re discussing treasure hunting, the civil war, gator wrestling, metal detectors, boats…. and twins! Did Jed find a magic lamp? No friends, all this and more is in the latest episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. Laura (aka Mary Kaye) is an academic who’s on the hunt for a civil war relic. Then the bad guys want it, and then Boss wants it, and then there’s car chases, and boat chases, and gator wrestling, and schemes. Fun Boys fans, we did our best on this one, and we sure liked it, but don’t just take our word for it. You’ve got to watch this episode! It’s the real “Treasure of Hazzard.”
An old moonshiner can’t give up the life of crime, even with the ATF constantly busting him. Luckily, Boss’s own crime of the week involves something similar to an army tank, which our moonshiner quickly steals for a mobile shine operation. The Dukes can’t pass on a crime spree opportunity of their own, so they’re quickly involved, and pretty soon we’ve got chaos all over north central Georgia. This felt like a weird episode, paired with a wild conversation betwixt the Fun Boys. Spoiler alert, Josh met Tom. But no time for that now, we’ve got to Follow That Still! This episode could have more appropriately been called “oil tycoon hires goons to kidnap daughter and make her go on a sweet cruise, but the Dukes get mixed up in things, and we’re not sure anyone even got to go on the cruise.” But the daughter, Susie, is in love with a farm boy she met at college. Daddy thinks it’s a bad match, but the Dukes teach everyone that true love comes from the heart… and the country. The boys also drive Daisy’s car over a cliff. It’s a classic tale, the guy from Manimal comes to town pretending to be a Duke, and chaos ensues. Gaylord Duke shows up with the deed to his family’s land. But it’s way behind on taxes and Boss has plans to sell it to a supermarket chain. To complicate things further, Daisy falls hard for the guy (yes, her cousin), and it takes a little too long for the gang to figure out he’s a fraud. Don’t worry though, even the Bat Cave and a Windsor knot can’t contain the real Dukes. The Fun Boys had a difference of opinion on this one, but we had fun talking about it. You just know we’re in for a bumpy ride when a VW Beetle with horns on the hood is approaching Hazzard. This week Rosco is on hiatus, so Boss calls in Hughie Hogg to help maintain chaos and disorder in Hazzard. But the bigger story this week is that there are strippers in town, and they’re stealing auto parts and quickly reselling them to an unsuspecting Cooter. It takes the crew a moment to figure out what’s going on, but when they do, it’s all hands on deck to take them down. Except Jesse. He gets locked up right away. There’s Jeeps everywhere folks, and one shouldn’t even be there yet! Our ratings were all over the place, so don’t take our word for it. Well friends, if you’re looking for a clean election, Hazzard County might not be the place for you. TC Rogers has come back to Hazzard, looking for revenge for her father. Boss cheated him out of an election 15 years ago, and she’s mad as hell. Boss tried every dirty trick in the book to win, but the Dukes took the same questionable path, and this was just a real gross election, folks.
