Baseball great Casey Stengel is credited with the saying, “He runs fast, but he runs too long in one place.” It’s a relatively kind way of saying that a slower player doesn’t have very good speed on the base paths. Well, sometimes our walk with Jesus can feel like that of the runner – a lot of churn but little progress. But the good news is that we can rest in the work of Jesus and get on with helping to build His Kingdom.
