It is widely accepted that the original twelve that Jesus called were between their late teens to late twenties. Most of the young men in that culture had completed their study of the Torah by the age of 13. So, just because someone is young, doesn’t mean that God can’t use them for His glory. For example, the apostle Paul writes this to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12-13: Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. Our students can answer Paul’s call because they have the responsibility to be the next standard bearers of our faith – not only in the future, but right now!
