Fin and Margo set off together, full of excitement and curiosity, but soon discover that the world beyond their river comes with real limits. Faced with a difficult choice, they begin to realise that adventure can take many forms.
Tired and unsure, Fin meets new friends who offer help and guidance on his journey home. With a little support and a clever plan, hope begins to return as Fin gets closer to finding his way.
Back on familiar waters, Fin finally reaches home territory, where an unexpected encounter changes everything. When he meets Margo, their stories collide and a new adventure begins.
Caught in fast water near the mill, Fin is thrown into a strange new world where he meets Scritch, a bold and streetwise rat. With danger ahead and choices to make, Fin must find the courage to keep moving and trust his instincts.
Fin wakes to a new stretch of river and meets Flick the kingfisher, along with a pair of helpful grass snakes. Faced with fear and uncertainty, Fin learns that sometimes the only way forward is to push through.
As Fin travels downstream, we meet Margo, a curious and restless fish who dreams of life beyond her quiet stretch of river. With a past shaped by loss and a longing for adventure, Margo begins to wonder what lies beyond the familiar.
Chapter 1 Fin’s peaceful river life takes a sudden turn when he is caught by a fisherman and accidentally dropped into the fast-flowing River Parrett. Swept away from everything he knows, Fin begins an unexpected journey into the unknown.
