Episode notes
Fall flavors, festive traditions, and a little folklore take center stage in this week’s Festacular Weekly Festival Roundup for October 9–11, 2026. We explore pumpkin festivals in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Oklahoma, featuring giant pumpkin weigh-offs, carving, hayrides, and family fun. Then we follow the Oktoberfest celebrations to Washington, California, and Florida for German food, lively music, stein-hoisting contests, and even Wiener Dog Races. Apple festivals in Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota bring copper-kettle apple butter, fresh-pressed cider, and plenty of harvest-season treats. Our unusual closing discovery is Albatwitch Day in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, where local folklore celebrates a mysterious creature said to inhabit the Susquehanna River Valley. Visit Festacular.com to explore these festivals, bookmark your favorites, and plan your next fall weekend adventure.
