Between the Oil and the Throne

Sarah Beth follows David’s long road through 1 and 2 Samuel—from Hannah’s private prayer and Samuel’s calling to Saul’s downfall, David’s anointing, Goliath, the wilderness years and the establishment of David’s kingdom. Along the way, she explores what happens when present circumstances look nothing like God’s promise: being overlooked, serving without recognition, resisting shortcuts and trusting God through partial progress. The central reminders are simple but demanding: never confuse delay with denial, and if God promised something, you do not have to sin to obtain it.
