Episode notes
Hi guys! Today we’re speaking with a topic that is near and dear to my heart as an American and as a mother. This year, America not only suffered the relentless wrath of COVID-19, but also an overpowering wave of civil unrest sparked by the deaths of black citizens like George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. In this episode, we talk with women business owners and consultants, Hawwa Muhammad and Dori Cook, on their experience coping with the unrest all around them as a black woman. We discuss how they have protected their own mental health, practised self-care and supported their communities during this time. We also get Hawwa and Dori’s advice on how we can best support the black community right now as women and citizens of the world. We hope you enjoy the episode.
