In our first episode, Neo Harter discusses the life of Mikael Renee Gayen and how it has been affected by contracting Meningitis. Professor Gayen grew up in France and was an extremely studious university student whose life was thrown off course after contracting Meningitis type C, which caused him to lose his legs and his ability to hear. Yet he recovered and after years of dedication, became a Professor of French at UCSB.
