Madame Web has been trashed by pretty much everyone, including some of those involved with making the film. But is all that criticism entirely fair? Are we simply jumping on the bandwagon? Didn’t all of our mothers go to Peru to extract magic spider venom to cure us of a genetic disease in utero… Metaphorically?
